Welcome to the fifth edition of the Events Tasmania E-Newsletter, featuring event stories and an exciting range of learning and development opportunities in the coming months.

First in a series of workshops offered through the Australian Business Arts Foundation is "Getting on the Front Foot: Great Presentations" featuring facilitator, educator and change management specialist Jill Gael. Jill's presentation is designed to teach business and organisations to clarify their key messages and present them with confidence. Closing date is 16 September. Jill Gael - Presenter of Managing Projects and Great Presentations Workshops

The next 3-4 months of the Learning and Development Program will feature Round 2 of the Digital Coach Program and we urge you to take advantage and register for the free specialist coaching to update your online presence and practice.

The Digital Coach program, run through Tourism Tasmania, provides you with tailored, free, practical, active learning, online mentorship to modernise and update your digital systems and practices.

Other great opportunities to look out for include Essential Marketing for Sponsorship Seekers Webinar presented by Kim Skildum-Reid and Managing Projects Workshops from Jill Gael. These two excellent presenters have delivered presentations to our event organisers in the last year, and are really "not to be missed" opportunities.

2011 Events Tasmania Grants Program

The successful applicants for the 2011 Grant round for National Championship, Touring and Special Interest events have been notified, and contracts are now being sent out.

Please note if your organisation is awarded a national championship to be held during 2010/11, the National Championship program allows for late applications. These will be assessed on merit and supported if funding allows.

The "Your Club Our Island" grant program remains open until 26 November 2010. This program specifically targets small groups and clubs to conduct their event in Tasmania during the winter months.
