Real Stories About How Event Development Can Help You
In this edition, the Director of the Tasmanian Craft Fair talks about developing long term strategies for this iconic event, and the role that Business Case Approach played in this process.
"The Business Case has been the document that we have hung every other piece of communication and marketing from. It allowed us to focus on the big picture, our key strengths and messages, and take this event forward into a completely new spectrum." Read more

Events Tasmania Workshops in 2010
Kim Skildum-Reid
In 2009 Events Tasmania held workshops, forums, targeted event coaching and live webinars. For 2010 we're planning one-day workshops from our Power Sponsorship Webinar presenter Kim Skildum-Reid, workshops on making events more 'green' and sustainable, and short courses on e-commerce and web design. The January edition of the Events Tasmania E-Newsletter will have all the details. In the meantime, there are some other great opportunities for learning and development presented by other organisations before the end of the year.
Free Grant Writing Workshops
Volunteering Tasmania is offering grant writing support and assistance to volunteer organisations applying for a Community Capacity Building Grant (or any other grant).
If you would like to gain some additional help with your application from Volunteering Tasmania, phone 1800 677 895 or email admin@volunteeringtas.org.au
Grant Application Writing
This course is a very practical "how-to" introduction to what for many may be a difficult process.
Previous workshops have been well received by participants able to take away skills for immediate use with the event.
A half day workshop hosted by ABAF will be held on 26 November in Launceston from 9.30am - 1.00pm. Designed for visual artists, the workshop covers a range of grant applications from federal, state and local government funding and philanthropic foundations.
For more information please phone Jennifer Innes (03) 9616 0314; or email skillsdev@abaf.org.au
